Trigger limits target crashes without removing extreme builds

The July 30 performance update caps the most expensive item loops, adds an Ultimate cast cooldown, and strengthens several Physical relics.

Update 7.30 - V1.0.466

What changed

The developer identified extreme item generation and Ultimate queues as causes of stutter, freezes, crashes, and lost saves. The patch keeps the underlying combinations but places ceilings on the fastest recursive loops.

What changed

  1. 01

The Devil and Reversed Devil can each trigger at most 100 times per stage; Reversed Fool can trigger at most 10 times per stage.

  2. 02

Every hunter Ultimate now has a one-second cast cooldown to prevent a large event queue from being created at once.

  3. 03

Book of Pilgrimage and Eye of Deep Winter become Unique Passive trigger engines, and Five-Color recursive effects are also treated as Unique Passive.

  4. 04

War Horn, Executioner's Axe, and Ripper Blade receive stronger Physical scaling, including permanent cap growth and combat-long Hemorrhage payoffs.

What it means for a run

Older infinite-loop clips remain useful for understanding interactions, but their throughput is no longer reproducible. Build around a complete loop below the ceiling, and reduce trigger multipliers if rooms begin to queue effects instead of resolving them cleanly.
